Short bio (130 words)

Vancouver’s soulful-pop songstress with a “New York City voice”. Sabrielle grew up with songwriter parents and a family who would sing around the kitchen table in perfect harmony. So in 2023, when she turned to songwriting in the midst of emotional upheaval and major life changes, everyone said the same thing: "it's about time"! Inspired by artists like Sara Bareilles, YEBBA, and Lana Del Rey, Sabrielle layers soulful indie-pop with hints of the gospel, jazz and R&B that she grew up with.

Described by international music blogs as "soul-stirring", "exquisitely powerful" and "a mesmerizing, transformative experience", her songs explore her own lived experiences of dating, divorce, mental health and what it means to be a queer, neurodivergent woman navigating life in the modern day.

Sabrielle grew up with songwriter parents and a family who would sing together in perfect harmony. So in 2022, when she turned to songwriting in the midst of emotional upheaval and major life changes, everyone said the same thing: "it's about time"! Inspired by artists like Sara Bareilles, YEBBA, and Lana Del Rey Sabrielle weaves soulful indie-pop with threads of the gospel, jazz and R&B music that she grew up with. Described as "soul-stirring", "exquisitely powerful" and "a mesmerizing, transformative experience", her songs are an honest and emotional exploration of her own lived experiences of love, loss, dating, divorce, mental health and what it means to be a queer, neurodivergent woman navigating life in this wild world.

Sabrielle has performed across the lower mainland, Vancouver Island, and the Fraser Valley, from intimate pubs and coffee shops to festival stages and red curtain theatres. She leads a women’s vocal trio, Dia, and is the principal singer for the acclaimed "Winter Harp", which tours across BC every December.

Her first two singles, “Wait I Can’t Bare” - a heart-wrenching portrayal of how anxiety and abandonment wounds affect our romantic partnerships- and “Human” - a love letter to anyone who has ever felt like ‘a mess’ - were released earlier this year. With two summer singles and her debut EP on the way aptly titled “Prologue” - her story is only beginning.
