Sabrielle is a versatile singer and burgeoning songwriter with a diverse musical background and “New York City voice”. Born into a family of musicians, Sabrielle was singing before she could talk and harmonizing before she could walk! Whether it’s pop, gospel, jazz or R&B, Sabrielle’s soulful voice and intuitive storytelling breathes new life into every song she performs.

Sabrielle grew up in White Rock, BC, the “city by the bay”, on the unceded, ancestral territory of the Semiahmoo First Nation. With the rhythm of the tide only a short walk away, Sabrielle has always drawn inspiration from the ocean, and these beautiful lands that we call home. Her mother and father are both songwriters and performers in their own right, and some of her fondest childhood memories are of singing with her family.

Sabrielle has performed across the lower mainland, Vancouver Island, and the Fraser Valley, from intimate pubs and coffee shops to festival stages and red curtain theatres. She leads a women’s vocal trio, Dia, has curated performances for the Burnaby Heritage Museum and Evergreen Cultural Centre, and last December she joined Winter Harp as the lead singer for their 30th anniversary tour.

As a songwriter, Sabrielle is inspired by pop icons like Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Alicia Keys and Lana Del Ray, layered with hints of the gospel, jazz and RnB that she grew up with. Her songs are an honest and emotional exploration of her own experiences of love, loss, dating,  divorce, feminism, mental health and what it means to be a queer, neurodivergent woman navigating life in the modern day.

“I just can't get the gorgeous tone of her voice out of my head. I can't put words to it to make sense but there was just something so pure and sincere that's struck me about her voice specifically.”

Sabrielle captivated me throughout the whole show by delivering strong performances of songs that ranged from the ballad, “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”, to some sassier, bolder pieces later on.
